The Lions broke their 2018 drought with a bang on Sunday, scoring a 53-point upset win over Hawthorn.
And Longmire isn't taking this Saturday's trip to the Gabba lightly.
"You absolutely disregard the win-loss ratio when you're looking at the Lions," he said.
"They've been in almost every game probably except one ... the result the Lions got against Hawthorn has been building for quite a while and probably doesn't surprise anyone because they've been playing a really good, strong brand of footy.
"They run really hard, they move the ball from one end of the ground to the other really quickly, and they've got some tall marking forwards in their front half that gives them confidence to move the ball quickly."
It wasn't lost on Longmire that the Hawks had few answers for the Lions' speed and aerial superiority, and he pondered whether to change up the fifth-placed Swans' structure to accommodate.
"Maybe (bring in) Aliir, Harry Marsh, those guys," he said.
"Harry Marsh has been in really good form. (Aliir) has been going okay, playing at a reasonable level.
"Whether we go with him this week or look at others, or keep it as is, we haven't made that call just yet."
Meanwhile, Lance Franklin will carefully continue his comeback from injury after escaping sanction for a high elbow that concussed Fremantle's Joel Hamling.
Franklin was cleared on Monday for an accidental swinging elbow to Hamling's chin.
And coach John Longmire was hopeful his superstar forward would continue to make progress after a surprise return from his persistent heel injury to bag three goals against the Dockers.
"That's a real positive to come out of the game," Longmire said.
"He played reduced minutes which was a bonus, and consider that he was coming off no training ... he's pulled up really well so that's a good sign.
"This is an unusual injury so at the moment the plan is to keep him going and keep building up his game time."
In another boost, Zak Jones was cleared of concussion following a head clash in the final term on Saturday.
