March
Banna avenue was almost packed to the brim watching their loved ones in the Anzac Day march.
Kim Watts, Shaunna Norris and Grant Templar were proud to watch Scott Norris march with the SES.
“It makes me so proud walking in his blue uniform with the SES, knowing how much he has accomplished. It’s just a really proud moment,” Ms Watts said.
“It’s a day to remember people who have sacrificed so much for us here today, and they are still fighting in the present day. It’s excellent to see the community come together,” Mr Templar said.

Main Service
The main service at Griffith’s Memorial Park saw the beautiful and tidy grounds filled with residents coming to pay their respects.
The guest speaker Noel Hicks commemorated soldiers and those involved in the war, both past and present, and gave an emotional account of the service of his father.

Two-up
And of course the ever-popular two-up at Griffith Exies Club garnered an enthusiastic crowd testing their luck at the coin toss.
Tom Sellars, James Terrel and Morgan Forster were only placing small bets at the start of the game, however after a few more beers were likely to test their luck as the stakes increased.
“I’ve had one bet and one win so far, so it’s looking pretty good for me even if it was only $10,” said Mr Sellars.
“I’ve had three bets with $20 on each, and won two and lost one, two out of three isn’t too bad!” Mr Terrel said.
He said it was a good thing he didn’t listen to some sage advice by an older gentlemen, who said the best bet is not to bet, just watch.
