While he has played the piano for around nine years, Daniel also plays the bass and acoustic guitar, and is all set to test his metal against some of the best upcoming musicians from Griffith.
“I’m pretty confident in my playing, however there are some pretty talented musicians my age so I’m not expecting to win, but the experience of it all will be great to take away from the competition,” Daniel said.

In preparation, he has been playing day and night to make sure he nit-picks everything to polish up his songs.
“I love playing the piano, it relaxes me and it’s just fun. Hearing the songs I like come to life is pretty awesome.”
He was initially inspired to start learning piano after his grandfather, who was a musician and played several instruments including piano, and now he has passed away, Daniel feels closure to him through his music.
Daniel has played in the Nancy Blumer competition, performed in many Leeton Eisteddfods, and is hoping to branch out with larger performances in the future.
“I’m always looking for ways to show off my talent, and get in touch with the community, get my name out there.”
