A 27-year-old woman has been arrested after throwing rocks at police on MacArthur Street on Sunday

At about 2.40am Police were called to a fight in MacArthur Street, where they dispersed a number of young people.
One particular female was verbally abusive towards the officers, and was given the direction to move on.
At this point she started to collect and throw small rocks at the police, hitting one officer in the face.

She was arrested, charged and will appear before Griffith Local Court on May 16, charged with two offences: assaulting an officer in the execution of duty and resist/hinder officer in the execution of his duty.
Fundraising chocolate stolen
An unknown offender has broken into a house on Gossamer Street in Leeton, stealing a number of items including two boxes of fundraising chocolate.
The break and enter occurred at around 12.38am and 6.30am on Sunday, with the thief accessing the house through an open window.
A collection of DVD’s, a mobile phone and two boxes of fundraising chocolate were stolen.
