Hay paramedics were called to South NSW to help after a boy was accidentally shot in the stomach on Saturday morning.

At about 10.45am emergency services were called to a rural property in Waugorah, approximately 250km north-west of Deniliquin, following reports a twelve-year-old boy had suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The boy was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne in a serious condition.
The boy’s condition is now described as stable.
Hay paramedics were called to back up Balranald paramedics, a Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance paramedic and Victorian Ambulance Helicopter.
