Last year the race received over 100 vehicle entries and proved a popular event on the offroad racing calendar. This year should prove no different with the line-up of some of Australia’s best offroad racers all ready to test their mettle against the locals.
The outright race was won last year by local’s Andy Ryan and Dave Smith. Andy is keen to go back to back this year to retain his crown. Fellow local Steve ‘Bowie’ Graham will also be out to keep his title alive after winning his class last year and finishing 6th outright in the series.
The track is located at ‘Stackpoole’ on the Mid Western Highway Goolgowi and it made up of fast flowing straights, rocky section and deep sand tracks. The race is a total of 400km with prologue and 1 race on Saturday and 2 races on the Sunday.
Food will be available from Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday. Bacon and egg rolls will be will get you going for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday with a hot roast dinner and vegetables including chicken, pork and beef, served for dinner on Saturday. Pizzas, and the usual array of BBQ will also be available. There will be a Bar running all weekend and live entertainment on the Friday night.
