Yenda will face off with Group 7 side Nowra-Bomaderry Jets while hosts West Wyalong will go up against Group 14 side Cobar Roosters and TLU Sharks will play the first game at 6.30pm when they come up against Group 9 side Temora Dragons.
If Yenda and West Wyalong both make it through to the semi-finals in what would be a Group 20 showdown to see who would play-off for the $10,000 on offer for the winners.
Heading into the tournament, Sharks coach Jaden Kelly is looking forward to the task of taking on the Dragons.
“We have a guy playing with us this year who comes from Temora so it will be good for him to get one over his home side,” he said.
“We have had a couple of players come from their in the past so there is a bit of an affiliation between the clubs so it should be a good game.”
With players starting to show their faces more at training Kelly is confident in the side they will get on the park come Friday afternoon.
“Numbers are looking good so far so we should be able to name a pretty strong line-up and hopefully we can at least make it through the first day.”
