
A man has been sentenced in Griffith Local Court after pleading guilty to multiple charges.
The court heard Ross Barker was on bail awaiting sentencing when he used a stolen credit card to purchase items at Target in Griffith.
He was then charged with dishonestly obtaining a financial advantage by deception, remaining in custody until his sentencing.
In light of the fresh charges, Mr Barker was sentenced to two years imprisonment with a non-parole period of 15 months. The judge noted his early plea when handing down the sentence.
His licence was also suspended for 12 months.
Mr Barker was awaiting trial on matters relating to the use of a stolen BP fuel card in Dubbo and West Wyalong. According to police facts, the victim was also seeking compensation of $2124.
In December 2016, it is alleged the defendant took a car from Hay, driving it to West Wyalong.
The defendant will be eligible for parole in March 2019
