NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro announced $10,000 in NSW Government funding for community radio station 2MIA during his visit to Griffith today.
“It was a pleasure to meet radio presenters Dolf and Dawn during a trip to the Murray electorate earlier this year,” Mr Barilaro said.
“Today we are here as part of an outside broadcast at the Griffith Library, and I can’t think of a better setting to announce funding for the radio station to help take their broadcasts on the road,” he said.
Member for Murray Austin Evans said, “The funding will be used by 2MIA FM to purchase microphones, amps, speakers, a mixing console and transmission equipment for their broadcast van.”
“This is part of the station’s vision to broaden their delivery by taking their radio station on the road.
“I am so pleased to deliver this funding to help 2MIA FM improve and expand their reach,” he said.
