Wagga Sailing Club has the bragging rights over their Griffith counterparts after emerging victorious when the two clubs faced off in a two-part regatta at Lake Albert across the weekend.
After completing round one in Griffith a month and a half ago, the local side took out all three divisions to claim the overall title.
Wagga’s Brad Pearce took out division one, sailing his Taipan 4.9 to victory.
Cameron Fitzgerald won division two with Serious Fun, his Elliott 5.9.
Sailboarder Cherril Zoutendyk wrapped up a successful day for team Wagga is a win in division three.
Conditions were largely agreeable, with the stormy weather holding off until later in the day.
The competition was the first step in resurrecting the long-gone Riverina Challenge.
