Whitton residents have reported discolouration in their water, with some expressing concerns about quality.
After a resident people took to social media to ask whether anyone had similar issues with the water, which reportedly had a yellow tinge, a number of others chimed in with similar complaints.
Leeton Shire Director Environment and Engineering Brian Ashcroft said the water was being closely monitored, but posed no health risk.
“We’ve been testing it regularly, twice a day, to make sure it returns to normal,” he said.
“Any problem is just with discolouration. It doesn’t pose any health risk at all.”
Whitton resident RJ Cranshure-Playr feels water quality in town has been an ongoing issue.
“The water has been like this since we’ve restarted refilling the pool, but it’s going on for a lot longer,” he said.

“Everyone I’ve spoken to feels like the water is getting gradually worse.”
Mr Ashcroft also confirmed the council will continue testing the water until the issue clears up.
“If there are any areas where the problems persist we’ll be flushing those to clean the pipes,” he said.
It is believed filling of the Whitton Swimming Pool contributed to the stirring up of sediment in the mains.
