IF YOU’VE ever wanted to have a go at rock climbing, but aren’t too keen on heights, then bouldering could be more for your.
Bouldering is essentially low-level indoor rock climbing – as the name implies, the climbing is over “boulders”, not mountains.
Because the climbing walls and structures are kept below four metres in height, there’s no requirement for ropes and there's soft-fall matting on the floor.
Family Funland has installed one of the biggest bouldering designs it is possible to have indoors.
There are four set ups in the bouldering compound - Little Boulder, the main run wall, Edge and Titan - providing different degrees of difficulty.
As well as social play, it is hoped that competitions will form with an electronic scoreboard of times.
