Jimmy Binks will play his first game of the season after missing the season opener, and Leagues captain Paul Plummer said the addition is a welcome inclusion.
“We have a pretty strong top five or six now with Jimmy coming back in,” he said.
“We will also have Andrew Madden back after he missed the first game as well.
“When you put those two with Toby who played well in our last game after not picking up the bat in a couple of years we should be in a really good position.”
The side will still be without the service of Satvir Chahal who will miss another week due to work commitments, but despite missing the strike bowler, Plummer was happy with how his bowlers performed in their first game.
“We bowled good lines and length to restrict Exies in our last game after they got off to a good start,” he said.
“We will have to be on our game again this week because Diggers have a few new blokes in and will be dangerous.”
Even though Diggers fell against Exies last weekend, there were signs for Plummer they will be in for a tough test.
“Hampel (Jason) nearly won the game for them by himself last week with 60-odd,” he said.
“He just comes out and plays his role so we will have to be careful of him.
“Dom Brown can also be a danger for them, and Theo Valeri has come back to Griffith after time in England and Canberra and was quite successful so he will obviously be a key wicket.”
The day-nighter at Exies will be the sides second in as many games, and the captain feels his side have been handed a good opening to the season.
“It’s been a good start for us with two day-nighters and a bye in the first three rounds,” he said.
“It will be a good time to test ourselves this weekend against an improving Diggers side.”
In the sides meetings last season, Leagues had the upper hand winning two of the four games with a draw mixed in as well while Diggers to the first meeting of the two sides.
The game will get underway under the lights of Exies Oval on Saturday at 4.30pm.
