Griffith veteran Mick Duncan has been cited for an off-the-ball incident in last week’s preliminary final which saw Collingullie-Glenfield Park star Jayden Klemke split open under the eye.
Collingullie-GP have cited Duncan for alleged high, intentional, forceful contact to Klemke’s face with an elbow during the third quarter of the Demons’ win.
The citing alleges the incident was behind play. Statements from the clubs will be forwarded to AFL Riverina’s investigating officer to determine whether Duncan has a case to answer.
Klemke left the ground with blood streaming from a cut but returned with his face taped up for the fourth quarter and continued to play a key role in the Demons’ victory which secured their spot in the grand final.
