Outgoing Representative Coordinator Anthony Vecchio is proud of the boys.
“I’m very proud. Every year we have a strong contingent of boys and girls who represent the Riverina in these National Youth Championships, and this is probably one of the years where we’ve had this many.”
“Especially coming from Griffith, this many is really great to see.”
The boys have been training since May, and have attended four camps in Sydney, spending three days there at a time.

“It’s a pretty good tournament to be involved in, and it’s the kind of thing scouts always attend and look at these kids,” Mr Vecchio said.
Mr Vecchio has faith the boys will do well in the Championships.
“The under 13’s are a bit of unknown, but I suspect that the 14’s will do quite well, going off last years results, so I expect they will do well, and I also think the 13s are good enough to be in the top two.”
