A MAN was allegedly stabbed in the abdomen during an incident in Griffith this week.
Police were unable to give many details, but Griffith Local Area Command Inspector Wayne McLachlan said the victim was a 31-year-old male.
“The stabbing occurred around 5.30pm on Tuesday in Olympic Street,” he said.
“Around 3.15am on Wednesday morning, police arrested a 22-year-old male in relation to the alleged stabbing.
“He was taken to Griffith police station where he was charged in relation to the matter. Bail was refused and he will appear in Griffith Local Court today (Wednesday).”
The victim was taken to Griffith Base Hospital, but was later discharged after treatment.
