It was 10 years ago that Ms Carter first started writing. Prior to that she was a production assistant for Film Australia. She has raised five children.
Ms Carter moved to Narrandera with her husband in 2015 and the pair are now following their dream of breeding Corriedale sheep.
Ms Carter’s launch will also celebrate National Reading Hour.
“I am inspired by country people,” she said. “They are genuinely good people.
“Maybe it’s the contact with animals that does it. I can see … what a wonderful effect contact with animals has.”
In a late start to her writing career, Ms Carter’s first book, A Dream Of Something More, was published in 2009 followed by High Country Secrets in 2014.
You can see Ms Carter at Griffith City Library on September 7 at 5.30pm.
