Each year, proceeds from the day go toward funding support services and cancer research.
Stalls can be found at Banna Avenue Kiosk, Bunnings Warehouse, Big W, Beyond Bank, Griffin Plaza and Griffith Central Shopping Centre.
Volunteer Deanna Marriott said that this year’s turnout had exceeded expectations.
“It’s been phenomenal. We’ve just about sold out stock,” she said.
“We’ve had the children from Wade High School and Marion Catholic College out selling things. They’ve done a fantastic job.”
The Griffith stalls are just some of 650 sites across the state.
Cancer Council NSW’s Brianna Carracher said that cancer impacts everyone.
“Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer, with 1 in 2 Australians predicted to be diagnosed by age 85. We encourage everyone to make a difference.”
The Cancer Council hopes to raise $2.1 million across NSW.
