This week is the final one people can visit the exhibition Currents, which features works by Coleambally-raised artist Joanna Chauncy. The exhibition closes on Friday, June 23.
Currents is a body of work by Ms Chauncy created while living in the Riverina, particularly Wagga Wagga and Darlington Point. Her work explores real and imagined landscapes and everyday objects. Developed over a period of two years in rural regional and urban locations, Joanna’s work explores connections to momentary everyday experiences.
Ms Chauncy said, “this is my first solo exhibition and I so happy to have it in my home of the Western Riverina. I hope viewers of the exhibition can share my connection to place and love of this unique landscape found here in the Western Riverina”.
The exhibition is located at Griffith Regional Theatre, 1 Neville Place, Griffith. Opening hours are 10am-5pm Monday to Friday. Call Griffith Regional Art Gallery on (02) 6962 8338 for more information.
