Rankins Springs may only be a small community but it has a big heart as shown at the town’s Tuesday Biggest Morning Tea.
Hosted by the Rankins Springs chapter of the Country Women’s Association (CWA) at Wally’s Junk Art Gallery the event saw support from both young and old, with the town’s preschool class even taking time out of their day to attend.

To spice things up the CWA put the call out to baking enthusiasts with a prize on offer for the best decorated cupcake – a competition easily taken out by Kristen Polimeni’s intricately decorated cupcake which featured fondant yellow daffodils.
“It has been a fantastic day, we have almost raised our target and I think by the end of the day we should be there,” CWA member Annette White said.
“It was Kaylene Hudson who decided to put the day on and it is a really good cause, everybody has been affected in some way by cancer or knows somebody affected.”
