The Griffith Golf Club’s 4BBB Versus Par last Saturday was also the qualifier for the Keno NSW Championship.

It was a tough game but Steve Crowe combined with John Harrison to take the win with +9. Crowe was a strong player, also canning a birdie on the first.
Runners-up on +8 were Ron Virago and John Badoco, and in third place were Matt Rumming and Tony McBride +7 over David Kidd and Alf Franchi and Slim Cavanaugh and John Dalton.
Pro Pins went to Bill Brown and Rob Trembath with Par Threes 4th Ron Virago, 7th Brad Lemon,11th Slim Cavanaugh, 16th Mark Webb. Vouchers to +5 on a countback.
Only a small field contested a single stableford in one grade on Sunday.
Brad Hammond won the day with 37 points, draining a birdie on the first ahead of Andrew Romagnolo on 34 points, who nailed a birdie on the 18th.
Graeme Richens won the 7th pin and Luke De Valentin 16th. Vouchers to 32 points.
The Lowes Petroleum 4 Ball match play semi finals were also completed last Sunday. B Salvestro and A. Smith defeated D. Kidd and A. Franchi after three extra holes, and will now play A. Oates and Terry Bennett in the final after they ousted G. Cox and A. King 1 up.
State of Origin 2 is on Wednesday night and the club will host a night of fun. Watch the game on the big screen supplied by T.L.E., with cheap schooners, nibbles, sweeps and free bus from 6pm till close. Contact the club for a pick-up time.

The event today is a single stableford while Saturday is the first round of the Griffith Laundry Services 36-Hole Stroke Championship with the second round on Sunday.
The veterans played a single stableford with 35 players in two grades last Thursday.
David Woodside with 37 points won 0-18 Grade over John Gale 36 points. The 19-36 Grade winner was Garry Purcell 41 points over Garnett Reade 40 points.
Pins to 4th Graeme Gifford, 15th Garry Purcell, 16th Tony McBride. Vouchers went to 33 points.
Winter Cup winners were Tom Morgan 73, Garnett Reade,Tony McBride, David Woodside 72, John Gale and Graham Sibraa 71.
Thursday’s event is a single stableford and fourth round of Winter Cup.
In Wednesday’s two-grade single stableford Gerry Cox with 38 points and a birdie on the 7th won the 0-18 Grade over Geoff Smith 36 points with birdies on the 8th and 14th.
The 19-36 Grade was won by Peter Den Houting 37 points, ahead of Ray Mead 36 points. Vouchers to 32 points.
