Barellan and District Netball Association are looking forward to being represented at the NSW Netball Championships this weekend at Baulkham Hills.
The Under 17 team will compete in division two, playing several games per day over Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
They have been training since February with Wagga coach Rosemary Clark, who believes the girls will do their association proud.
“I am very, very excited to be taking the team to the competition,” Clark said this week.
“The girls have been a joy to coach, and always do what I ask of them, and more. They are all very talented, lovely girls that are going to play some great netball this weekend.”
The team has been very successful at various carnivals this year with highlights including a runners up finish in division one State League, and winners of division two at the Wagga Wagga Representative Carnival.
The team consists of Elexa Tuckett (Narrandera), Kacy Bell (Ariah Park), Gemma Fisher (Mirrool), Jessica Sommerfield (Narrandera), Lucy Pattingale (Cowra), Isobel Bradford (Jerilderie), Sharnie and Keisha Mclean (Ariah Park) and Chloe Hamblin (Ganmain).
