Neighbours have tried in vain to save the life of a teenager who lost control of a motorbike while riding without a helmet in residential Blackbutt.
Shane Puckeridge, 19, crashed at speed into the back of a ute parked on Glider Avenue shortly after 1pm Tuesday.

He is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest, and could not be revived.
Balgownie man Corey Weaver, 25, was visiting a friend’s house on the street when he heard a “big crash” outside.
He phoned triple-zero and took instructions from the operator as a neighbour with a military background made every effort to revive the teen.
“We did CPR until the ambulance got here, but he didn’t move - that was it,” Mr Weaver told the Mercury.
“He [the neighbour] ran across the road with a First Aid bag. He was amazing. He ended up fainting because he was stressed and put that much effort into [CPR].”
The road was closed to traffic as police examined the site of the crash, on the outskirts of Blackbutt Reserve.
“It was a disaster waiting to happen. It’s been a dreadful day.”
Neighbours say loud motorcycle noises sounded in the area for about 15 minutes in the lead-up to the crash.
Resident Jane Taylor said motorbikes – ridden at speed, by people without helmets, sometimes on one wheel, sometimes on the reserve – had long been a source of worry in the neighbourhood.
“They’ve even been riding on the [reserve] footpath in the park at dusk and at dark, and people do use that path to do their daily constitutional and walk their dogs," she said.
“People have called police when they see them riding. But by the time the police drive down the street, they’re in the garage and the door’s down.”
“It was a disaster waiting to happen. It’s been a dreadful day.”
Police say the bike involved in Tuesday’s fatality was unregistered.

Shocked family members and friends visited the site of the crash.
A tow truck driver removed a red bandana from the bike’s handlebars and handed it to a tearful female mourner, before the accident site was cleared.
Tributes have begun pouring in online.
“I was that shocked that someone so beautiful could have left just like that when you least expect it,” wrote one relative, on Facebook.
A brief will be prepared for the coroner.
