ON a cloudy but mild day last Sunday the Barellan Clay Target Club held their monthly shooting competition.
26 shooters took part across three different events with West Wyalong’s Clive Foster coming out on top.
Event One: 10 targets, Double Barrel, off 15 metres, Cash Divide: 10/10; Ken Whytcross, Les Irvin, Angelo Paonne, Sam Papasidero, Don Turner, Clive Foster, John Blain and George DePaoli.
Event Two: 25 Targets, Central Riverina, Double Barrel Championship: Overall and 1st Clive Foster, 2nd Les Irvin, B Grade: 1st Sam Papasidero 2nd George DePaoli, C Grade: 1st Sturt McVittie 2nd Dave Richards, Veteran: Angelo Paonne, Lady Shooter: Jennifer Irvin, Junior: B.Schmetzer
Event Three: 15 targets, All metres, 11 to 25 metres: 15/15: Ken Whytcross and Paul Salafia, 14/15: Peter Ledwidge, Angelo Paonne, Don Turner, Clive Foster and George DePaoli.
High Gun of the day was awarded to Angelo Paonne.
