After a physical encounter in the first round, Yoogali SC is preparing to take on St Mary’s Eaglevale in the third round of the Bill Cullinan Cup.
Yoogali played out a tight affair in the second round as they overcame Dunbar Rovers 1-0 while the Sydney team enjoyed a 2-0 win.
In their home competition, the side has had a mixed start to the season with a win, loss and draw from their first three games this season.
Yoogali is approaching an unknown according to Santolin because St Mary’s has multiple teams in the competition.
“It makes it hard to do any research,” he said

“We will be preparing as if we are playing their top team so we are as prepared as possible.”
Heading into the game Yoogali will welcome back strikers Mario Tikerberi who was rested last weekend.
“He has some floating cartilage which flares up from time to time,” he said.
“He can still play, but we wanted to make sure he was fighting fit for this Sunday.”

Santolin said his side, which is still a relatively new squad, will continue to work on the basics.
“We can focus on playing beautiful football later in the year once the foundation has been set,” he said
