It is the kind of news that could turn your Monday around, but one lucky Griffith person is yet to realise they have won more than a quarter of a million dollars in Saturday’s Lotto draw.
The mystery winner, who will take home $271,755.57, from Saturday’s draw bought the ticket at the Griffin Plaza Newsagency, but was not registered to a Players Club Card – leaving NSW Lotto with no way to contact them.
NSW Lotteries spokesman Matt Hart urged anyone who purchased a ticket in Saturday’s draw from the newsagency to check it as soon as possible.
“We all know the start of a new week can be a busy time as people head back to work and their daily lives,” he said.
“Somewhere out there is our mystery winner who could have forgotten to check the Saturday Lotto ticket they bought.”
“Imagine winning a quarter of a million dollars but not knowing it. It is the type of news that could really turn your week around – especially on a Monday.”
Griffin Plaza Newsagency owner Manjit Lally said the store was eagerly waiting for the lucky winner to check their ticket and come forward.
“We would love to break the news to one of our lucky customers,” he said.
“It is our first division one winner since taking over the store last year.”
The entry was one of 15 division one winners nationally, three of who lived in NSW.
The six winning numbers in Lotto draw 3731 on Saturday, April 22 2017 were 30, 13, 11, 18, 24 and 21.
The supplementary numbers were 15 and 27.
