Tony Catanzariti, 38 points, won A Grade carding 20 points out, 18 in, nailing a birdie on the eighth.
David Kidd, 37 points, second, carding 12 pars.
Alf Franchi, 42 points, blew the all away in B Grade, playing out of his skin, jamming his second shot into the cup for an Eagle two on the 15th, then backed it up with a birdie on the 16th to score 24 points home.
Runner-up John Harrison, 37 points, draining a birdie on the sixth.
The course proved to test for the C graders, Bill Brown and Sean Osborne both carded 34 points, Brown taking the sin on a countback, carding a four point par on the second whilst Osborne had four point pars on the sixth, 13th and 18th.
Pro Pins won by Alf Franchi and Roy Hosking. Par Threes; 7th Grant Keily, 11th Travis Payne, 16th Enzo Basai.
Vouchers to 33 points.
The Easter Sunday single stableford could not compete with all the city’s festivities, only enough players for one grade, won by David Kidd on 41 points, carding birdies on the second, eighth, ninth to score 22 points out.
Carl Bandiera, 36 points, second, nailing a birdie on the 10th.
Matt Butcher, Gerry Cox, Martin Sweeney, John Wallace won vouchers.
The Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday, April 18, and the club executive remains the same, whilst there has been a change in the directors.
The financial report showed a loss of $29,000,for the year, an improvement from the previous years $50,000 loss.
But it leaves the club at the cross roads and in a precarious position.
This is not unique to the local club with a large number of golf clubs everywhere facing a struggle.
Today’s event along with Sunday’s are single stablefords, Saturday sees a Two Person Ambrose.
The veterans played a single stableford last Thursday with 31 players in two grades.
Brian Savage, 37 points, won 0-18 Grade ahead of Gerry Cox, 35 points.
It was Catanzariti day in the 19-36 Grade, Sam taking the sin on 41 points, one ahead of Don on 40 points.
Pins won by Brad Fawcett 8th and 11th, Tony McBride 15th.

Thursday’s event is a single stableford with a request for players to use the time sheet.
A single stableford in two grades last Wednesday.
Robin Salvestro, 39 points, won 0-18 Grade, nailing a birdie on the 15th. On a countback over Duncan Adams, 39 points, canning a birdie on the 9th.
Bill Brown, 39 points, won 19-36 Grade carding a four point par on the 4th, on a countback over Kevin Purtell, 39 points, draining a birdie on the 8th.
Vouchers to 35 points.
A one grade single stableford on Good Friday won by Luke Ellis, 39 points, from Alf Franchi, 35 points.
Gerry Cox and David Kidd won vouchers.
