After three rounds of the 2017 AFL season, two of the bigger teams in Sydney and Hawthorn remain without a win.
In this week's edition of At The Bar Micheal “Speedy” Stratton and The Area News’ Liam Warren discuss their terrible start to the season.
Speedy: What is wrong with the Sydney Swans?
Liam: We are missing our run. We have no Issac Heeney or Gary Rohan and with Dane Rampe missing there is no run coming off the back line.
Speedy: You could be right there because I watched them the other night as I usually do and I just thought they were lacking a little bit of condition. I know it is only early days, but they dropped the first three games as have Hawthorn but it is definitely not panic stations yet.

Liam: When I was watching it Adam Treloar was just running up the middle of the ground which to me comes down to not enough speed.
Speedy: They will get it back. They have a good coach who knows what he is doing. Who do you have next week?
Liam: West Coast over there on Thursday night.
Speedy: That will be tough. Four in a row will knock your confidence a bit, but still, there is plenty of time left in the season yet to turn it around.
Liam: Giants the week after so it doesn't get any easier.
Speedy: Everyone is predicting the Giants to win the thing, but I don't know they are a good side there is no doubt about that.
Liam: They are a very good young side.
Speedy: When the Giants kicked off everyone laughed at them but they have worked their way through and their young kids are getting better every year and although I don’t think they can win the premiership you have to say they are serious contenders.
Liam: Now for the other end of the table with Adelaide and Richmond.
Speedy: They are the only two undefeated sides in the competition. Richmond has been a little bit of a surprise packet so far.
Liam: Bit of a reverse of fortunes between Richmond and Hawthorn
Speedy: Hawthorn got absolutely flogged by Gold Coast.
Liam: I thought it was a joke when I first saw the score.
Speedy: I couldn't believe it. I only saw highlights but what I saw and have been told was that Hawthorn just weren't in the game at all.
Liam: When they sold the heart of their midfield in Jordan Lewis and Sam Mitchell it was always going to be difficult. Who do you think can win it this year?
Speedy: We are only three rounds in, but if I had to pick the premiers I would have to say Adelaide from Richmond but as we know anything could happen between now and the end of the season.
