The Riverina was left buzzing after the year’s first snowfall graced the slopes at Selwyn Snow Resort on Monday morning.
The resort woke to 15 centimetres of snow around 6am, which continued to fall throughout the morning.
Resort manager Angela Murdoch said while an April snowfall was not unusual, it was a slightly early Easter treat.
“The sprinkling across the slopes just looks absolutely beautiful,” Ms Murdoch said.
Riverina Ski Sports owner Peter Clucas said he was expecting an influx of business in the wake of the snowfall, as people start to prepare for the upcoming season.
“We’ve really only had one good snow season in the past four years so some early dusting is always a good sign,” Mr Clucas said.
No more snow is predicted for the area this week.
