Jodi Andreatta from Jodi’s Dance Company went on a similar trip when she was a budding performer and always wanted to give girls from her dance studio a similar experience.
There will be a group of 15 dancers between the age of seven and 17 will be heading to the US on the 10 day adventure.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the girls,” she said.
“They will have the opportunity to dance in Disneyland, Universal Studios and Hollywood.
“They will also take part in a parade with all the other dance studios down the main street in Disneyland.”
The students will feature in a parade featuring their names and home town up in lights which is a big thrill for the dancers according to Mrs Andreatta.
The girls have stepped up their practice times in preparation for the trip over the Pacific Ocean, with an extra two hours on top of their already busy schedule seeing some students training five days a week.
Mrs Andreatta wanted to thank the Griffith community for their generosity which has helped lessen the burden of the parents to get their kids to America. She said the support has lowered the cost of items like costumes for the performers.
