Griffith’s only loss of the season came against Wagga in round one but Griffith District Cricket Association junior coach Roy Binks said anything could happen this time around.
“Wagga beat us in the first round but both sides weren’t at their best – there was a lot of wides bowled,” Binks said.
“Wagga has won every game since but so have our boys, it’s very hard to predict who’ll win but we have some good kids in the Griffith side.”
Binks said a key combination for Griffith would be its bowling lineup.
“There’s Ben Signor, Jake Rand and Judd Stevenson,” said
“Jake’s been a real, into the wind swing bowler for Griffith. He’s accurate and has been very successful.
“The other two, for their age, are reasonably quick so they tend to come from one end and Jake from the other.
“Mason Ashcroft bowls quite well, too, and Noah Gaske throws in a bit of leg spin.”
