CUMMINS continued their winning run with a comfortable win over Smith. Their opening batsmen Christian DallEst, 26 and Thomas Goirigolzarri 21 set up their big score of 4/116. Charlie Toohey added 19 and Nick McGibbon 16. Smith’s wicket takers included Ben Virago, Patrick Mickan, Liam Jones and Asad Ali. Patrick Mickan again top scored for Smith with 17 runs in his teams score of 7/81. Jordan Virago chipped in with 15 and Ryan Andrighetto 13. Bodhi Brady and Christian Dall Est both claimed two wickets for Cummins.
Watson’s batsmen showed some form with a commanding 3/118 led by Keiran Casey who made 26, Nate Sergi 24 and Meli Ranitu 20. Jaiden Morrell, Daniel Bourke and Sam Dhillon shared the wickets to fall. Daniel Bourke was the bright light in Lyon’s innings of 9/81, hitting up 26 runs. Logan Woodland was in a destructive mood snapping up three wickets. Connor Moore and Keiran Casey both took two wickets for Watson.
Starc only lost three wickets in compiling 64 runs (ave 21.3) to give them a win over Warner who lost nine wickets in making 104 runs. Tyler Gatto, Matt Devery and Tucker Collins all scored 12 runs for Starc. Jacob and Josh Serafin both took a wicket each for Warner. Warner’s best batsmen were Matthew Adams who made 26 and Owen Robinson 22. Starc’s most successful bowlers were Harry Morshead and Archie Forwood who both finished with three wicket hauls.
Clarke again got solid contributions from the Kenny boys in making 5/120. Jai top scored with 24, Bede made 22 and Cooper Rand added 19. Jordan Williams and Kadon Collins both picked up two wickets for Johnson. Johnson could only get to 9/83 in reply with a major contribution from Angus Argent-Smith who pummelled a massive 37 runs. Seamus Maley helped the score along with 13 runs. Cooper Rand did some major damage with the ball capturing four wickets. Jai Kenny made it a good day with his two wickets.
