Chris Brugger met his future wife Naomi when he was just 18 years old. Five years later they married, vowing to stick together in sickness and in health, words that were tested again and again.
Mrs Brugger said despite a high rate of divorce among couples battling cancer, she had never once considered leaving her “soul mate”.
“I would have done anything to save him,” she said. “I don’t know what I would do without him.”
Mr Brugger said Naomi was a source of strength for him during the dark days and he was overjoyed when a new charity called Dreams2Live4 offered to fulfill his wish to renew his vows with the woman he loved.
