IN AN effort to offer new activities and courses to adults Griffith City Library is calling for volunteers with special skills and interests.
The appeal comes with the hopes new volunteers will help add to the library’s programs and events held throughout the year.
Joint library manager Pam Young said the library offered programs and workshops for infants and toddlers and believes a new army of volunteers will help create new courses and offer more variety to adults.
“Anybody with a special skill set they’d like to share with the community is encouraged to contact us as we’re hoping to deliver a wide variety of activities to develop skills and social interaction in our community,” Mrs Young said.
The library is currently recruiting volunteers to help run workshops, including family history research, card making, origami, charcoal drawing, paper craft, tai chi and photography.
