THE Ladies Golf Club Championships concluded this weekend with the final round on Saturday. The winner of division 1 was Liz Graham with a scratch score of 330.

Runner-up with a score of 347 was Denise Turner.
Division 2 was tightly contested with Dale Spence the winner with a scratch score of 388, only two shots in front of the runner up Jenni Fisher on 390. The winner of Division 3 was Mary Gifford with a scratch score of 414, and runner up was Pat Pauling with a score of 428.
The Championship Handicap winners were Anne Hicks in Division 1 (runner-up Kathy King), Val Erickson in Division 2 (runner-up Val Browne) and Carmel Smith in Division 3 (runner-up Dulcie Knight).
In total, a field of 23 ladies completed Saturday’s stroke event.
There were two divisions in the daily competition with the winner of Division 1 Liz Graham on a countback from Sue Peters, both with a lovely score of 70 net.
The winner of Division 2 was Mary Gifford on 71 net and runner-up was Robyn Barrington with 73 net.
Nearest the pin in Division 1 went to Jenny Thomas and in Division 3 to Robyn Hoare. There were nine ball winners with a score of 76 net on a countback required.
Next Saturday’s competition will be a stableford with only three clubs and a putter allowed. Captains: Kaye Dalton and Joan Staines.
The winter season closing day is November 9, and the ladies’ presentation night is November 17.
