Hyde bagged four tries as Yanco-Wamoon notched up a half-century and booked itself a shot at a grand final berth next week.
Hawks co-coach Glenn Dumbrell said Hyde had a knack for scoring tries.
“Dan Hyde, he was a standout, he just finds the line whenever he can,” Dumbrell said.
Dumbrell also named fellow coach Tuki Jackson and young gun Zac Saddler as two of his side’s better players.
The hooker said he would have liked to keep Leeton to a lower score.
“It’s a warm day, so you expect a lot of points but [letting in] 28 points isn't very good,” Dumbrell said.
“We’ll have a look at that, mind you, they’re [Leeton] a good attacking team.
“It was good to get a win.
“We get to have a crack at Lakes next week out at Lakes so we did our job.”
Leeton will meet with West Wyalong next week in a do or die match.
