Callum gained selection after representing the Wagga Wagga diocese at the NSW CCC Cross Country Carnival on Friday, June 17.
The 10-year-old’s focus is solely on the next carnival now and Callum has ramped up his training in preparation. He will train at school as well as at home.
The staff and students are all incredibly proud of his achievement.
Callum was joined at the carnival by fellow student Jordan Piva who put in an outstanding effort in the 11 years boys event.
A group of St Patrick’s Primary School students – Ella Savage, Joanna Macrae, Sahara Moon, Pearson Kasawaya, Beth Huxley, Tiarnah Reginato, Breanna Restagno, Alice Macrae, Ava Kelly, Lucy Cozens and Taine Moraschi – also attended the carnival.
Callum will be joined on the Mackillop team by Pearson – who will compete in the 10 years boys event – to race in Sydney on July 22.
