Claire McWilliam from Griffith Rotaract said one of the club’s members worked with the mother of a boy with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), a genetic disorder that removes the ability to ‘feel full’ after a meal.
“The cake stall was organised and run by Griffith Rotaract, and Sugarmill Patisserie were kind enough to help out with cakes and the orange juice,” Ms McWilliam said.
“We haven't done a final tally yet but the money will go towards the NSW PWS Association.
Two kids with PWS were there on the day and lots of people asked about it and wanted to learn more.
“It was great to see so many brave the rain and cold,” Ms McWilliam said.
