Following an impressive showing for the Wagga Wagga diocesan representative girls football side, Claudia Torresan and Beth Huxley have been chosen in the Mackillop side.
The pair will now travel to Albury with the full squad of 14 girls to take on NSW’s best young footballers at the PSSA Football Girls State Carnival on Tuesday, June 7.
Diocesan sports coordinator Bill Ross said it was a “great achievement” and the girls will be sure to do the region proud.
In news closer to home, the school held it’s athletics carnival on Monday.
The age champions were Ryan Zanatta and Ava Kelly (senior); Mason Rosengreen and Alex Parisotto (11s); Mason Salvestro and Sahara Moon (junior).
Brendan House won the Father Beltrame Trophy.
A team will attend Deanery Athletics Carnival at Westend on Friday, May 27.
