Griffith High School has an incredible nine students in the Riverina side.
Riverina team manager Richard Wiseman said the players were testament to the growth of the game in Griffith.
“The Griffith players will play an important part in continuing the Riverina region’s improvement in rugby union,” Wiseman said.
Last year, Aistan Fidow was selected in the NSW under 16 side and Wiseman said he wouldn’t be surprised if a couple more were picked in the side this year.
He said selectors will be having a close look at Apenisa Driti and Benjamin Anau.
The CHS Rugby Carnival has been a breeding ground for rugby talent.
A number of current NSW Waratahs have all come through the school carnival and Wiseman commended all the Griffith boys on their selection.
The representatives from Griffith are made up of not only Griffith Blacks players.
Along with Blacks juniors, the representatives are a mixture of members from local rugby league teams the Yenda Blueheelers, Griffith Black and Whites and Griffith Waratah Tigers.
