The group were planning to meet after the event to see how it could be improved so future festivals can go to the next level.
Bev Johnson from Frogs Hollow Yindyamarra Sporting Association said the success of the festival bodes well for the future.
“The sports and cultural day gave us an opportunity to give a cultural foundation for our children and gave us a strong vision and hope for the future,” Ms Johnson said.
“We are looking to do other programs too, whether it be dance, educational or sport clinics.”
The group has big plans for next year’s event.
“We hope to engage with the wider community and get the support to run these types of programs,” Ms Johnson said.
“We also want to engage more local performing artists and include local businesses to sell artefacts, clothing and that sort of thing.”
