From the opening moments of the match, the Wagga-based team came out firing.
They ran in eight tries to one on their way to a 52-5 victory. City scored four tries in the first half and led 28-0 at half-time.
While Country’s Shailyn Williams was the first to score in the second half, her team they struggled to contain the City team’s explosive speed out wide.
City coach Marty Hogan was impressed how his side executed the game plan.
“We knew we had a fairly tight defensive opponent so we went to a really open running game,” Hogan said.
“We worked it side to side on the paddock and they did that really well.
“You can see the ambition, the commitment and their love of rugby come through which is really good.”
