Sometimes as we approach certain milestones, ghosts of the past pay us a visit. They can present themselves as those obstacles and blocks that you refer to. When we encounter these obstructions, it’s our tendency to want to remove them as quickly as they appear. Yet to deny that they serve a purpose is to do yourself an injustice. If you haven’t yet achieved your desired outcome, it’s because people and situations are still in the process of lining up. It’s about timing and allowing things to unfold to get you the best possible results. It’s also about trust on all levels. This is not all doom and gloom. As I drew the Archangel Michael “You Can Do It” card, the energy around it was very strong, positive and determined. You can take these same qualities into your venture. While my advice has been centred around trusting the process of life, this card has come to give you the surety that it is a case of ‘when’ your business will happen not ‘if’. In the meantime, the road ahead can be less bumpy for you.
Tips on how to release the skeletons in your closet and not let them rattle you:
- Trust your instinct to know exactly what your blockages are. Sometimes identifying them alone can bring relief.
- Like the boogeyman, are the challenges you’re facing real or projections of what ‘might’ happen? Letting go of the surmising, speculating and over-analysing will help here.
- Acknowledge that once the lesson has been learned from this experience you can move on. Your energy and enthusiasm can be better utilised working toward your goal.
When you are on the precipice of something new, it’s natural to feel scared. Interestingly, some people are as afraid of success as they are of failure! Either way, it’s time to come out of the shadows. Terror can be tamed.
You know a book is good when the title has been trademarked. Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway has become a common expression for good reason. Author Susan Jeffers points out that, “Underlying all our fears is a lack of trust in ourselves.”
