The calls come after a $128k grant from the NSW Environment Protection Authority was attained.
It will be used in a 12 month joint collaboration program with Murrumbidgee Irrigation (MI) and NSW Department of Primary Industries, Lands.
Five illegal dumping hotspots across the region will be the focus of the funding.
It will enable council and other stakeholders to set up remote camera surveillance to identify illegal dumpers, install prevention barriers and signage as well as carry out vegetation rehabilitation.
Council and MI have cleaned up 108 tonnes of illegally dumped waste in the last year.
Griffith Mayor, Councillor John Dal Broi said illegal dumping is unsightly and reflects poorly on our region.
Council aims to reduce illegal dumping by 80% over the next year.
Council is urging residents to report locations where regular illegal dumping occurs by calling 6962 8100.
