These two young stars will play ‘Chip one’ and ‘Chip two’ in the community production of Beauty and the Beast.
While they haven’t yet graced the stage for a live performance as an actor and actress, they do have some performance skills in their repertoire.
Jaden has received acting lessons in the past and Emily said she’d made good use to her vocal cords.
“I have done KROP with my school choir and played in gardens to raise money, but this is my first time in a play,” she said.
They each said they had a few challenges to overcome, but each gave a very different answer.
“Remembering all the harmonies and what song they are in,” Emily said.
“To sit in the trolley for the whole show,” Jaden said.
Jaden also said he’d found the whole experience so far “fun and exciting” with his partner in crime echoing that sentiment.
“It’s been really fun, making new friends, meeting new people and getting experience for the future,” she said.
While making friends is great, Emily said that there was something else that excited her even more.
“That I get to be a young, cheeky little boy (although I’m a girl),” she said.
This dastardly duo also have slightly different career hopes.
Emily said she wanted to be a Journalist or a dentist because “I really love english, I love to see people smile and dentists make a lot of money.”
Jaden on the other hand had a more … glamorous choice in mind.
“I want to design Lamborghinis,” he said
The differences don’t stop there.
While you would probably find Jaden rocking out to AC/DC’s Dirty deeds done dirt cheap Emily couldn’t bring herself to pick a favourite.
We then delved deep into their minds to find out what they’re most afraid of.
Emily said her fear was spiders but Jaden said “to be stuck somewhere with no food or water.”
A community production of Beauty and the Beast will premier at the Griffith Regional Theatre on Thursday, September 10.
Each week in the lead up to the event The Area News will profile some of the people involved in the production.
