Outspoken readers took to The Area News Facebook page to voice their opinions.
“I was under the opinion that outside eating was mainly for smokers but than again non-smokers want everything their way as always. Can't smoke at a footy field but you can buy alcohol. What kind of an example is that for young kids?” a reader wrote against the laws.
“I'm a smoker but I think this is good,” another wrote in support of the new legislation.
“As a reformed smoker this is just another way of dictating how people live. If you want to have that much control then just make them illegal all together,” one reader summed up.
