The club has held a number of functions over that time period including the “successful” rock ‘n’ roll pasta and wine night.
Club president Neville Twigg said more functions may be the key to success.
“We’ve had several functions in the last month or two which have been successful,” he said.
“It shows how valuable the club is to the area because of the different organisations that can come here.
“We might try to increase the number of functions and be open more often, just to allow patrons more of an opportunity to come.”
He said the club is still not in the clear and would welcome any and all assistance in keeping the club afloat.
“It's looking a lot more positive because people are showing interest and sponsorship,” he said.
“We received some very positive reports from the carpet bowls who are looking to have it again next year and possibly make it annual event.
“We’re not out of the woods yet but we are feeling a lot more confident.”
He said that the meeting in April was just what the club needed.
“It’s all a lot more positive than it was and we’re still receiving offers of help,” he said.
“Sometimes you need a jolt to let people know that you're in a bit of danger.”
