The sale was held on Wednesday and has been branded a success by cattle producer Kel Williams, who helped put them together.
“It went very well, there was over 250 head of cattle and the prices were firm,” Mr Williams said.
“Everyone was pleased with this first sale and want to keep it going and if we keep these numbers up we will.
"The agents are very keen to try and keep the sales going, we are going to have another sale on April 8 which is about six weeks away.
“It might have been sooner but one of the main buyers will be away on holidays and we need all the buyers we can get to be there.
“There was community spirit lacking from Landmark and Elders.”
