About 11.20pm, police from the Riverina Highway Patrol stopped a white Subaru sedan on Burley Griffith Way.
The drive, a 35-year-old Griffith man, and the passenger were spoken to.
Following investigations, police conducted a search of the vehicle where they allegedly located and seized an amount of cannabis and methylamphetamines.
The driver was arrested and taken to Cootamundra Police Station where he was charged with possess a prohibited drug and supply a prohibited drug.
He was refused bail.
