It was a sea of colour and movement as twenty hot air balloons took to the skies over the Hunter on Saturday morning.
Balloonists came from around the country to take part in the annual Hunter Valley Balloon Fiesta, now in its fourth year of operation.
Local pilot and winner of the Women’s World Hot Air Ballooning Championships last month in Poland, Nicola Scaife joined the event.
"It really is a breathtaking experience to be on board one of the many balloons", she said.
Clear skies in the early morning and temperatures reaching over 28 degrees for most of the Hunter, provided the perfect backdrop for flying high.
